Twisted Viewpoints

Once again...I don't know what to think about weight in our society. It's like either you are obese and have serious health problems, or feel "bad" about yourself because "you're not as skinny as that one model with serious health problems." Either way, serious health problems!

Since that wasn't really too clear (or at least it wasn't really what I was trying to get across), here I go again.

To make my point, please read with an open mind. I am not trying to make accusations right now.

So, we are being fed...propaganda (in a manner of speaking) by these lovely people who are "just trying to make us feel good" that it's OKAY not to be skinny. They get obsessive over stuff like, "girls as young as 10 years old are dieting." Which could be a problem.

But it's also a problem when you actually look out your window: hey look--a majorly obese 10-year-old girl! (No offense, 10-year-old girls, this could be anyone) This is ALSO a problem.

These are two extremes. How do we stop them? We have to keep people from starving to death but from heart disease, too. So please don't diet, 10-year-old girls. Just eat healthy stuff, because it isn't as easy as people realize to get obese at a young age. People of all ages have to watch what they eat. Just don't get obsessive, and please don't get too politically correct.
