The Problem of personas estupidos

There is a problem with our world today:

People do stupid things. I have a couple of examples:

Smoking--Everyone knows that smoking kills. Etc. Etc. Then WHY do people smoke?

That's STUPID!

I don't care what you politically correct people say: peer pressure, curiosity, a "way to get away from it all"... whatever! How can any of these be more important than your health, your future?

I am disgusted at this public display of ignorance. (I have a new acronym...PDI)

Example #2) Our horribly degrating, ignored environment.

WHY do people choose to ignore possibly alarming and FATAL problems?

WHY? Why not try to fix them?

Although not many people may know?.(*cough, cough* propaganda? *cough, cough*) there is scientific evidence that something has to do with global warming (I am not educated in this subject).

Why not start coming up with better ways of procuring energy NOW...while we still have the chance. But Nooooo...Oil companies would get mad. We should ditch the oil companies.

WHY do people try to ignore things that they are scared of? Okay, the world's going to blow up in 20 years because of...um...sulfer in the air (fiction). So what will people do? Okay, they might try to do something, (might), but when you say the stuff that comes out of cars is bad for the environment and the environment will get worse and worse for our children, what do people say? Not "okay, that's cool, I'll stop driving my car now because I care about me children." NO, this is what they say: "You're just a hippie. I like driving my big hulking H2. It gets me places faster. If I walked, I would only get there in two minutes but when I drive it takes me 30 seconds. Besides, I don't care about the environment anyways."

Sounds like someone is too greedy to give up personal comforts for the environment, which is more important than people give it credit for.

Please look to the future: the environmnet is what we're living in; it's what we will be living in. Your using personal comfort now might be retracting from yo9ur personal comfort in the future.

Okay, I think I've gotten a little too ah...worked up about this. Thank you.

Oh, by the way, Ellen, I give you permission to use this on your enviro. blog if you want.
